Community Corner, featuring news and information from the T/E community that may be of interest to Beaumont families.

• Valentine's Tea at Easttown Library: Care for tea? Enjoy tea, delectables, and a little etiquette lesson by Lisa Richey of Manners to Go, February 4 at the Easttown Library! There are two seatings: children 4-7 from 11 to noon, and children 8-up from 1:00-2:00. For details, see the flyer. Used books will also be for sale. Proceeds benefit the Library.

• Dance Your Heart Out Marathon at Tredyffrin Library: Also on February 4, the Teen Advisory Group at Tredyffrin Library is sponsoring a dance marathon, with proceeds to be split between the library and FLITE. For ages 2-12, the marathon runs from 3-5 p.m., with fun activities, Clay's cupcakes, and prizes; for ages 13 and above, it will be held from 7 to 11 with a great DJ, free food and prizes. • Conestoga Girls' Soccer Clinics: The Conestoga Girls' Soccer team will be conducting two clinics, one on February 26 and one on March 4, from 12-3 in the Conestoga High School gym. Varsity Head Coach Meghan Brogan, her staff, and the girls on the team will coach. For registration, click here.

• Titanic the Musical at Conestoga: Conestoga High School presents Titanic The Musical from February 29-March 3, 2012. Performances are at 7:30 p.m., with a matinee on Sunday, March 3 at 2 p.m.  Tickets are $12-15 and include discounts for students and seniors. • Harlem Wizards vs. T/E: Come out for a night of zany basketball as T/E teachers and Conestoga players tackle the Harlem Wizards on March 23 from 7-9 p.m.at Conestoga. This program benefits FLITE. To order tickets online, click here.

• Chester County Library Online Language Programs: The Chester County Library has recently partnered with Mango Languages to provide an on-line learning language learning opportunity for anyone who holds a library card. Mango is an online language-learning system that can help you learn languages like Spanish, French, Japanese, Brazilian Portuguese, German, Mandarin Chinese, Greek, Italian, Russian and more. Students and family members may use Mango to learn a new language. Mango may also be useful in practicing the language that a student is already studying. To access Mango, simply go to the Chester County Library website, http://www.ccls.org/, and click on the Mango tab on the homepage. Use your library card to set up your account and then get started.
