The HSA coordinates the offering of after school clubs led and sponsored by Beaumont faculty, staff, and parents. Some examples of clubs include Art Club, Theater Club, and Book Club. The Chess Club is a before-school club and is chaired by Beaumont parent Anita Borger. The After School Sports and Science Explorers programs are not run by the HSA.

After School Clubs Session II registration forms are now available. The registration deadline is Friday, January 15, 2010. Download your registration form here.

Club offerings for Session II are (NOTE: No clubs the week of March 1st to the 5th.):

CLAY CLUB (Leader: Mrs. Walsh)
Open to 3rd and 4th graders. Maximum number of students: 20. Meets in Art Room. Students will have the opportunity to work on clay projects. Parent volunteers are required.

THURSDAYS: 1/28, 2/4, 2/11, 2/18, 2/25, 3/11

ART CLUB (Leader: Mrs. Walsh)
Open to 1st and 2nd graders. Maximum number of students: 24. Meets in Art Room. Students will have the opportunity to complete a variety of art projects using different mediums. Parent volunteers are required.

MONDAYS: 1/25, 2/1, 2/8, 2/15, 2/22, 3/8
TUESDAYS: 1/26, 2/2, 2/9, 2/16, 2/23, 3/9

KNITTING CLUB (Leader: Mrs. Rechtiene)
Open to 1st thru 4th graders. Maximum number of students: 15. Students will learn the basics of knitting. A size 7 or 8 knitting needle and a ball of basic yarn are required for the class. Parent volunteers are welcome.

WEDNESDAYS: 1/27, 2/3, 2/10, 2/17, 2/24, 3/10 *Club meets at 7:45 AM

READERS THEATRE (Leader: Ms. Schultz)
Very limited openings due to wait list from first session Open to 2nd, 3rd and 4th graders. Maximum number of students: 15. Meets in Room 12. Last two meetings held in the cafeteria. Students will learn the process of creating a play and they will perform a play at the end.

MONDAYS: 1/25, 2/1, 2/8, 2/15, 2/22, 3/8

STORYTELLING AND PUPPET MAKING CLUB (Leader: Ms. Schultz)
Open to Kindergarten and 1st graders. Maximum number of students: 20. Meets in Room 12. Students will listen to stories, make puppets and use their puppets to retell the stories.

WEDNESDAYS: 1/27, 2/3, 2/10, 2/17, 2/24, 3/10
THURSDAYS: 1/28, 2/4, 2/11, 2/18, 2/25, 3/11

There are three club sessions offered through the school year. The sessions for the 2009-2010 school year are:

Session I: September 28, 2009 - November 6, 2009 (extra week: November 9; any clubs meeting on Mondays will run October 5, 2009 - November 9, 2009 with make-up Novemeber 16, 2009)

Session II: January 25, 2010 - March 12, 2010 (extra week: March 15; there will be no clubs the week of March 1-5, 2010)

Session III: April 19, 2010 - May 28, 2010 (extra week: May 31)

Each club will have 6 meetings. All clubs meet from 3:30-4:30 after school. Students must supply their own snacks for after school. You must notify your child's teacher each week your child will be attending an after school club.

Club offerings and registrations are sent out approximately 2 weeks before the session begins in your child's backpack. The guidelines for club registration are:

  • Registrations must be received by the registration deadline
  • Cash/check payment registrations must be received in the "After School Clubs" folder in the school office by the registration deadline

  • Registrations must be accompanied by payment in full

  • Do not register siblings on the same form

  • Notification of clubs registration will be done via email only - please add the email afterschoolclubs@beaumonthsa.org to your address book to ensure delivery of this email
We want all children interested in a club to be able to participate. Spaces are not filled on a first-come, first-served basis. If demand is greater than space available, a lottery will be held. The lottery will be held only with registrations that are:
  • fully completed

  • accompanied with payment in full

  • received by the registration due date

We are not responsible for lost or otherwise delayed registrations. If you miss the registration deadline for any reason, contact the After School Clubs Coordinator directly. Please do not contact the club leader as this places them in an awkward position! If space is available in the club, a placement will likely be made if the club leader agrees. If the club is full, we regret that placement cannot be made.

Full refunds will be issued for children who are not selected in a lottery situation. There is no pro-rating or refunds for absences or leaving the club. Refunds are made only if requested prior to the first meeting of the club and a replacement can be found for the space. Clubs that do not reach minimum enrollment numbers will be cancelled and your payment will be refunded in full.
