Beaumont is represented in this district-wide organization; "Area Residents Caring and Helping". ARCH assists, educates, and supports in dealing with substance use and abused by young people in our community.

ARCH is Area Residents Caring and Helping, Inc. is a community coalition established in 1981 by parents in the Tredyffrin/Easttown School District to assist, educate, and support one another in dealing with substance use and abuse by the young people in our community. ARCH provides information and support for families and works closely with the Tredyffrin/Easttown School District Administration to provide student services and resources in the fight against substance abuse.

What is ARCH About?

  • YOUTH and our community
  • Prevention of substance use and abuse among our youth

What Can I Do?

  • Join ARCH and attend scheduled meetings
  • Educate yourself about the extent and types of issues that are affecting youth in our community
  • Know your child's whereabouts
  • Learn about efforts already under way to address substance abuse
  • Endorse the ARCH Party Guidelines as a tool for you and your family
  • Be a part of a public education campaign and raise public awareness about the issues youth face in our community
  • Listen and talk with your child and others
  • Volunteer your time to one or more of ARCH's projects
  • Promote positive peer influence
  • Promote anti-drug social norms
  • Establish consistent family rules and consequences
  • Be a mentor to young people in our community

Statement of Purpose

We are a partnership of parents, school administrators, police officers, teachers, students, and community members committed to supporting families and helping youth form a strong positive self image to enable them to make healthy choices and stay drug free.

Our goal is to assist the community to provide a better quality of individual and comunity life by working towards the elimination of alcohol and other drug use by minors, fostering healthy relationships between parents and youth, and further cooperation between schools and the community.

Benefits of Joining ARCH

Members are provided opportunities to be educated on alcohol, tobacco, and other drug related issues. Members gain an understanding of community needs and resources as it relates to adolescent issues, specifically substance use and abuse. Members have the opportunity to promote their programs and activities to a host of community members and organizations and discover complementary programs of benefit to those they serve. Members have the opportunity to work collaboratively with community members and organizations to share resources, potential funding sources and link programs that meet the needs of our children in our community.

How to Join ARCH

To become a members, attend a meeting and be willings to join the prevention effort through networking and participating in the coordination and collaboration of prevention activities and programs.
