There are many HSA programs and events at Beaumont. These activities work to enhance the learning environment for our children. They are run by separate committees which are led by one or more chairpersons. Volunteers are always welcome to help with events where necessary.
The following is the list of committees that coordinate and run the HSA programs and events throughout the year:
After School Clubs
The HSA coordinates the offering of after school clubs led and sponsored by Beaumont faculty, staff, and parents. Some examples of clubs include Art Club, Theater Club, and Book Club. There are three six-week sessions offered through the school year. The After School Sports and Science Explorers programs are not run by the HSA.
A.R.C.H.
Beaumont is represented in this district-wide organization; "Area Residents Caring and Helping". A.R.C.H. assists, educates, and supports in dealing with substance use and abused by young people in our community.
Art Goes to School
Art Goes to School is an educational art program at Beaumont that aims to encourage art appreciation in children at the elementary level.
Bear Facts
The Bear Facts is the school newsletter that is distributed the last week of each month. The Bear Facts is available online. Please sign up to receive email notification when the newsletter is ready to help us be green and reduce paper waste.
Bear Gear
This committee is responsible for Beaumont's official themed t-shirts, sweatshirts, and other spirit items.
Beautification
The Beautification Committee plans, implements, and maintains projects to enhance the beauty of the school inside and outside.
Book Fair
There are two Scholastic Book Fairs held at Beaumont; one in the fall and one in the spring.
Box Tops & Grocery Receipts
Beaumont can benefit from your grocery receipts and box tops through cash-back rebate programs.
B.U.I.L.D.
"Better Understanding of Individuals with Learning Differences" is a district-wide committee that acts as a support group for parents of children with learning differences.
Chess Club
The chess club is a before school event for children to hone their chess skills.
Community Service
This committee oversees and maintains the relationship with the Bell Avenue School in Yeadon, Pennsylvania. Beaumont and Bell Avenue have had a partnership for several years. We also coordinate with other Beaumont groups, parents, and staff on various community service projects at the school.
Cultural Arts
This committee previews and schedules all in-school assemblies and artist residences. The committee supports Delta Performing Arts Programs and attends district-wide meetings.
Directory
This committee coordinates and publishing, selling, and distribution of the Beaumont School Directory.
Diversity
This is a district-wide committee that helps ensure diversity on issues such as curriculum and staffing.
Family 2 Family
This committee organizes volunteers to assist Beaumont families who are in emergency situations. Members also participate in the district Dental Clinic Committee and drive eligible Beaumont students to the free dental clinic at T/E Middle School.
Father/Daughter Dance
The Father/Daughter Dance is a very special evening planned for Beaumont dads and their daughters. This event is usually held around Valentine's Day and is open to girls and an uncle, grandfather, or other significant male figure in her life.
4th Grade Lunch
This committee works with the principal and staff of Beaumont to organize a special luncheon for the fourth graders. This event is held in June of each year.
Grandparent Liaison
The Grandparent Liaison is responsible for recruiting and coordinating the use of students' grandparents or significant seniors as volunteers at Beaumont.
Homeroom Parents
The Homeroom Parents coordinators oversee the homeroom parents for each core class. They are a vital link in the emergency phone chain procedure and homeroom parents are a valuable resource for our teachers. The chairpersons coordinate the efforts for classroom art projects, and the three holiday parties: Halloween, Winter, and Valentine's Day.
Hospitality
The Hospitality Committee provides hospitality, food, and refreshments for school and teacher functions during the school year.
Inter School Council (ISC)
The Inter School Council serves as a forum for the exchange of ideas and information among parent/teacher organizations in the district. The goals are to continue to improve education for children and provide a forum for discussion and possible resolution of areas of concern.
Keystone Healthy Zone/Health Council
As part of the Keystone Health Zone statewide initiative, this committee works to educate and promoted healthy lifestyles for our children.
Kid Stuff Coupon Books
The Kid Stuff coupon books are an invaluable resource for saving money for a variety of local products, services, and more.
MASH and School Store
The purpose of "Many Active School Helpers" is to assist Beaumont students in reaching out to others in the community and beyond. This committee works closely with the school guidance counselor. The School Store coordinator works with Mrs. Bourque to organize and maintain a schedule of volunteer parents and students to work at the school store throughout the year.
Mother/Son Event
This annual event brings together Beaumont moms and their sons for a fun-filled activity or outing.
Opening Day Packet
This committee coordinates and assembles all materials that are sent home to families during the first week of school.
Opening Week Picnic
The opening week picnic is held at the end of the first week of each school year on the Beaumont fields. This is a great BYO event for Beaumont families to enjoy and connect to new and returning friends.
Parent Social
This committee organizes an evening social event for Beaumont parents in the Fall or Spring. This annual get-together is a great way for Beaumont parents to meet each other and catch up with old friends.
Pizza Bingo
One of Beaumont's favorite fun-packed evenings is this night pizza for dinner and hours of bingo with great prizes.
Play Day
Beaumont's annual "Play Day" fair and festival is a student favorite. This event is held in the spring and includes food, games, prizes, raffles, and the ever-popular cake walk.
Publicity
This committee is responsible for communicating with the district newsletter, local newspapers, and television stations to promote the HSA and school events.
Publishing Center
This committee coordinates our parent-run, in-school publishing center that prints and binds student stories and books.
Race Back to Beaumont Fun Run
This committee organizes the Fun Run to kick-off the start of each new school year.
School Supply Box
This committee coordinates the pre-sale of school supplies at the end of the academic year which will be delivered in September.
Spring Plant Sale
This popular fundraiser offers a nice selection of spring plants for your gardens and landscaping. The sale is typically held just prior to Mother's Day.
Staff Appreciation
This committee coordinates school-wide activities to honor teachers and staff during National Teacher Appreciation Week.
Theme Week
This committee develops a week-long program around a special theme; the program includes outside speakers and programs that relate to the theme and schoolwide decorations.
Volunteers
The volunteer coordinator is responsible for organizing and coordinating volunteer interests at the beginning of the year and distributes to the appropriate committees.
Walking Club
The walking club encourages a healthier outlook for Beaumont through a student walking club held during recess times.
Website
The website coordinator works to develop and maintain the Beaumont HSA website.
Winterfest
This event occurs in early winter and is open to all students and family members and includes an ice cream social, movie screening, and great vendor shopping.
Wrapping Paper Sale
Held in the fall, this fundraiser offers a great selection of giftware, gift foods, and all-occasion and holiday wrapping paper and accessories from a popular wrapping paper catalog.
Yearbook
The yearbook committee manages the preparation, printing, sales, and distribution of the school yearbook.
