The Publishing Center at Beaumont is responsible for publishing stories written and illustrated by Beaumont students. The Publishing Center creates a hardback book for the students and their parents to treasure. The center publishes over 150 stories each year!

All students in the 1st and 3rd grade are required to write and illustrate a story to publish, but many other students also submit stories during the year. The assembly of books is accomplished by volunteers.

The Publishing Center is a parent-run activity. Parents are needed to type and edit submitted stories. After the typed pages have been illustrated by the students, the pages are bound. The center is open September through June. The majority of work begins in January.

The Publishing Center is now officically open and accepting stories to be published. Getting your child's story published is VERY easy:

  1. Have your child write a story of any topic, any length, and submit it to his/her teacher. The story can be handwritten or typed.
  2. The story will be returned to them for proofreading and dedication
  3. A final copy of the story will be returned for illustration
  4. A final book will be bound and returned to your child!
