Beaumont and its kids need you! The HSA relies on its volunteers to run smoothly. If you can help just a little, it will make a BIG difference. You are welcome to get involved in any and all HSA activities at any level throughout the year. It's fun and the rewards are satisfying and great!
There are a wide variety of volunteer opportunities within the HSA to fit every interest, ability, and availability. Some committees have year-round duties while others have special events once or twice a year. Some different kinds of volunteer opportunities include:
Fundraising events including Bear Gear, the Spring Plant Sale, and the Wrapping Paper Sale
In-school services including Homeroom Parents, Walking Club, Chess Club, and the Bear Facts monthly newsletter
Social events such as the Opening Week Picnic, Pizza Bingo, and the Parent Social
Districtwide committees such as InterSchool Council, Keystone Healthy Zone/Health Council, ARCH, and Diversity
The time commitment you give as a volunteer is up to you. There are many daytime and evening events which require different levels of hands-on help. This website will soon reflect that information for you on the specific committee pages. You may also contact the chairperson(s) of the committee you may be interested in for further information; use the HSA Directory.
There are many ways to get involved as a volunteer at Beaumont!
Parents can get involved in the classroom, library, or school office. You can assist teachers in putting student artwork in hallways, re-shelving library books, and helping with the track and field activities for Field Day in June. These are excellent oportunities to familiarize yourself with the school, staff, and students. For more information, contact your child's teacher, Mrs. Haltiwanger (haltiwangerd@tesd.net or 610.240.1405) in the library, or Mrs. Toland (tolandl@tesd.net or 610.240.1403) in the school office. You may also contact special area teachers directly.
Parents can get involved in the activities and programs of the HSA. Volunteer sign-up forms are available at the beginning of the year in the Opening Week Packet. Sign-up forms are also available throughout the year in the school office or can be obtained here.
You may also contact any committee chairperson (see HSA Directory) for more information regarding a specific committee.
Be sure to review the T/E School District Volunteer Guidelines if you will be volunteering in any capacity at the school or HSA.
