Before/After School Clubs
Thank you for your interest in having your child participate in a Before or After School Club sponsored by the Beaumont Home & School Association (HSA). There are a variety of clubs which have been favorites over the years, as well as new clubs to explore. The HSA welcomes parents’ feedback about the clubs.
Program: Chess Club
Fall Dates/Location: 8:25-9:05 am on Wednesdays (9/25, 10/2, 10/16, 10/23, 10/30, 11/6, 11/13/ 11/20) (Cafeteria)
Details: Chess Club is open to all Beaumont students and welcomes every level of player. Please note that the Club will meet on Wednesday mornings this fall, not Tuesdays as noted on the forms that came home from school. Please see the Club's flyer for further information, including meeting dates, and please fill out and return this registration form with payment to join the Club. Registration is on a first come first serve basis. The Club is also seeking a Co-Chair (no need to know chess); interested parties should contact Ellen Lu.
Program: Coding Club with Mrs. Davis-Taylor
Dates/Location: 4:00-4:45 pm on Mondays (10/21, 10/28, 11/4, 11/11, 11/18, and 12/9) (Library)
Details: Students in Grades 3-4 will learn the basics of computer coding through a variety of activities, including step-by-step sequencing, board games, Lego robotics, and online coding applications and games.
Program: Lego Club with Miss Mancuso
Dates/Location: 4:00-4:45 pm on Mondays and Wednesdays (10/14/19-11/20/19) (Large Group Room)
Details: Students of all ages (club is open to grades K-4) will brainstorm ideas, create designs and solve problems related to building with Legos. Students in the club will benefit from up to date Lego products, social interaction, higher level thinking application, and of course, FUN!
Non-HSA Sponsored Clubs
Program: After School Sports Program with Ms. Fisher
Dates/Location: 4:00-4:45 pm on Mondays (2nd graders), Tuesdays (3rd graders) & Wednesdays (4th graders) starting October 7th (Gym)
Details: FREE program that allows students in grades 2-4 to participate in fun games and activities after school with peers. There will be two sessions, filled on a first come first serve basis, with the Fall session starting on October 7th and the Winter session beginning in January. All details are on this form.
Program: Girls on the Run
Dates/Location: Practices Mondays and Wednesdays at Beaumont from 4:00-5:30 pm starting Sept 23rd; 5k race on December 7th (practices at Hilltop Park)
Details: Girls on the Run is a North American non-profit program (open to 3rd and 4th grade girls at BES) that works to encourage pre-teen girls to develop self-respect and healthy lifestyles through dynamic, interactive lessons and running games, culminating in a celebratory 5k run on Saturday, December 7th! Program: Girl Scouts
Details: Girl Scout troops for each grade level at Beaumont are available for the 2019-20 membership year. Every girl interested in scouting will have a troop for them! Program: Science Explorers
Dates/Location: Thursdays from 4:05-5:05 pm; next session begins on November 21st (Science Lab)
Details: Science Explorers is available to students in Grades 1-4. The next 5-week session, "Wild About Weather," begins on November 21st. Program: Young Rembrandts
Dates/Location: Mondays from 3:50-4:50 pm, with session running from September 16th - December 16th (11 weeks) (BES Art Room)
Details: Young Rembrandts' after-school enrichment program provides drawing lessons that encompass a fascinating world of color, pattern, and design. More information can be found on their flyer and registration is available online.
