We are still looking for a few eager Beaumont Bears (and their parents, no drop-offs please) to join us THIS SATURDAY, October 15th, between 10:00 am and 1:00 pm in the BES carpool circle as we collect and clean used bikes and bike accessories donated by the community to benefit Zummo Community Bike Shop. Students can sign up for a Bike Drive shift here: https://bit.ly/22bikedrive. Zummo refurbishes donated bikes and provides them to children who earn them in school programs, with a focus on Norristown elementary school students. See the event flyer here (attached).
We also need physical donations to make this new event a success! Zummo is able to accept bikes of all sizes and types, baby seats, bells, helmets and bike accessories, so please take a moment to look through your garages and basements for outgrown biking items and bring them to school this weekend to benefit this amazing local nonprofit (or fill out the form listed in the flyer and Zummo will come to you)!
