SCHOOL ATTENDANCE REMINDERS

Consistent school attendance is important for all students to successfully complete the instructional program at each grade level.

Please be aware of the following reasons for excused school absence and early dismissal from the school day as outlined in the PA School Code and TESD policy/regulation #5113.

Absences, including early dismissals, are considered lawfully excused when a student is prevented from attendance for mental, physical, or other urgent reasons such as illness, family emergency, death of a family member, medical or dental appointments, authorized school activities, educational travel with prior approval, pre-approved religious instruction (limit 36 hours per year), or a bona fide religious holiday.

Please be sure to email besattendance@tesd.net to communicate your child’s absence and clearly indicate the reason for the excused absence within three days.

For approved travel, the complete request for educational travel form (https://www.tesd.net/cms/lib/PA01001259/Centricity/Domain/614/Student%20Excused%20Travel%20Form%20-%20Fillable.pdf) must be submitted including the explanation for the educational nature of the trip.

Please contact Dr. Demming if you have any questions at demmings@tesd.net or 610-240-1401.

CONESTOGA CHS SNEAKER DRIVE AT BES

CHS GotSneakers (https://www.instagram.com/chs_got_sneakers) is holding a sneaker drive fundraiser from January 16th to June 1st with monthly pickups to raise money for Conestoga Cross Country and Track & Field teams. GotSneakers has developed a unique fundraising program that asks communities to reach into their closets, not their pockets! We will be collecting new, used, or gently worn sneakers through the previously stated dates. This sneaker recycling program helps keeps sneakers out of landfills, which has harmful effects on our environment and helps organizations like ours raise much-needed funds. The program is truly a win – win! Learn more about GotSneakers by visiting our website at www.gotsneakers.com.

BES SPIRIT WEAR STORE

TWO ways to purchase new Beaumont spirit wear!
