COMMUNITY SERVICE CORNER
MLK JR. DAY SERVICE PROJECT WITH CRADLES TO CRAYONS OF PHILADELPHIA!

In honor of Martin Luther King Jr. Day, Beaumont's 3rd and 4th grade students had the opportunity to participate in an initiative called Ready for Learning 2023 in conjunction with Cradles to Crayons of Philadelphia. C2C is aiming to provide 50,000 backpacks filled with school supplies to Philadelphia children in low-income situations or who are experiencing homelessness this summer. To spread some additional cheer, they also include a handmade well-wish note in each backpack!

Beaumont's upper grade students watched a video message shared by C2C about the organization's mission and the impact of this project. They then had the opportunity to use their creative juices to generate handmade cards for the backpacks. The students' cards were incredibly unique, kind and colorful and C2C was so grateful for our school's participation and support.

Take a look at some of their masterpieces!
