In honor of Black History Month, Beaumont hosted Key Arts Productions’The Totally Awesome Traveling Black History Show on Wednesday, February 11. Through music and storytelling, this whole-school assembly explored influential figures and important milestones, including the founding of the NAACP and the achievements of trailblazers like Madam C.J. Walker.
The presentation also highlighted young changemakers, showing students that leadership and impact are not limited by age. By sharing stories of determination and courage, the assembly reinforced the message that anyone can make a difference when they are committed to creating positive change.
Beyond the history lessons, the show encouraged empathy, critical thinking, and pride in cultural identity. It was an inspiring experience that reminded our students that their voices, choices, and actions can help shape the future.
