THE BEAUMONT HSA IS SEEKING APPLICANTS FOR OPEN 2023-24 BOARD POSITIONS

Beaumont Elementary's Home and School Association is looking to fill positions on its Executive Board for the 2023-24 school year. Below are the open positions and their descriptions. Members of the Executive Board work together as a team alongside parent volunteers and the school community to support our BES families, teachers and staff all while fundraising and creating wonderful friendships.

Our Executive Board meets monthly. It's a wonderful time to get involved and all volunteers are welcome! If you are not interested in a board position at this time, we will be recruiting very soon for chair and committee positions for the various activities and events we have throughout the year!

Please feel free to reach out to Amy Benchener if you have any questions at volunteers@beaumonthsa.org.

We cannot wait to hear from you!

Assistant Treasurer

The HSA Assistant Treasurer works alongside the Treasurer as the custodian of the parent group’s funds. The Treasurer helps develop the budget, collects fundraising money, is the direct recipient of all cash and check deposits, writes checks for purchases and reimbursements, tracks income and spending, makes financial reports, and organizes the books for annual audit. The Treasurer has the power to sign checks along with the President. Knowledge of QuickBooks is helpful. *This position is a two-year term.

Vice President of Community Service
The Vice President of Community Service seeks to provide opportunities for Beaumont families to support organizations in-need within the local community. Examples of projects that the VP of Community Service has run in the past include canned food drives, gift cards for Royer-Graves, and a sock drive in connection with Joy of Sox. This is a very special way of connecting with the needs of our community.

Searching for Social Media Maven
Beaumont HSA's Facebook Page https://www.facebook.com/beaumonthsa) needs another social media maven to take over next year! The HSA Facebook moderator will help get new class pages started at the beginning of the year and maintain the HSA's own page by loading timely, informative and witty posts for the enjoyment of our large audience. Training available immediately. Great opportunity for a volunteer to give time from the comfort of your home at any hour without having to wear pants.

Interested or have questions regarding any of the positions? Contact Amy Benchener volunteers@beaumonthsa.org.

SOCK DRIVE - THANKS FOR YOUR SUPPORT!!

Many thanks to the Beaumont community for your incredible support of our Sock Drive benefitting local nonprofit, Joy of Sox, this month. We collected over 550 pairs of new socks and the organization was so grateful.

We were also so excited to have several Beaumont Bears and some of their siblings and parents join us at the Joy of Sox warehouse last Saturday, March 18th, to sort, organize and package our donations! Our volunteers also learned about the Joy of Sox mission and increased their awareness of the issue of homelessness. Overall, it was a great opportunity for these students to get to see firsthand the inner workings of this amazing nonprofit! Here are a few pictures of our Bears hard at work at the warehouse, and ringing the warehouse bell to celebrate their progress!
