CARING BEARS

A few years ago, Beaumont launched a group called the Beaumont Caring Bears. This committee helps our HSA recognize and/or support members of our school community who may be going through life challenges or who may have achieved something extraordinary.

If you know of a student or staff member who deserves special recognition, or if you know someone who is struggling and could use a little extra TLC, send an email to the Beaumont Caring Bears and we will make sure that person is shown some extra BES attention!

All submissions can be sent to caringbears@beaumonthsa.org and someone will follow up. Please include the student or staff member’s name, grade, and any information you would like us to know. Also, if you would like to get involved with our group, please send an email to caringbears@beaumonthsa.org.

GREEN TIP

Are you tired of throwing out so much junk mail? There are a few simple steps to reducing your mail:

·      To opt out of credit card and insurance offers for five years you can go to OptOutPrescreen.com or call 888-567-8688.  If you want to stop the offers forever, you can go to the same website and mail in a form (free service)

·      DMAchoice.org allows you to stop catalogs, magazine offers, banks and extra charity offers—this service says it will stop 80% of these types of offers.  It cost $4 to stop these for 10 years.

·      CatalogChoice.org is a free service that lets you opt-out of specific company catalogs, charities and political organizations

·      PaperKarma has an app ($3.99/month or $24.99/year) that allows you take a picture of a label and will request for you to be removed from the mailing list
