We are in need of a Chair or Co-chairs for 4th Grade Residency Week next school year!! This opportunity is ideal for someone with a rising 4th grader and younger children who can apply the same residency relationships across multiple years. In the past, we have welcomed The Philly Circus, Hip Hop Fundamentals and this May we are welcoming Wolf Performing Arts Center for the first time!

Responsibilities include:

- In September, the chair reaches out to the lead 4th grade teacher in order to get potential May dates for the residency.

- Once dates are received, the chair will reach out to potential artists to check on their availability and cost.

- In Spring, create a signup genius to have other 4th grade parents volunteer to help during the week.

- In May, monitor the Residency week as needed based on volunteer sign ups for the week.

By reaching out now, you will have the opportunity to shadow the current chair if you'd like! If this is something you'd be interested in, please reach out to volunteers@beaumonthsa.org.

Second Call for Volunteers!! The HSA has many fun events planned for the Spring: Bingo Night, Parent Social, Spring Book Fair, 4th grade Residency Week, Carnival, etc. These events cannot happen though without the support of our amazing volunteers. Please click on the link below to see how you can help make these events great!!

HSA Finance Update
After a fantastic Winter Clubs session and Winter Ball the HSA would like to provide an update on HSA financials.  School year to date, the HSA has raised $45,000 and reinvested $37,000 back into the school, students and teachers.  Here is where that $37K has gone!
  • $9K classroom requests - indoor recess supplies, online video subscription, charging stations, decodable readers, Kindergarten tee-shirts, etc.
  • $7K teacher stipends at the beginning and middle of the year for classroom supplies (this equates to around $200/primary classroom YTD)
  • $8K assemblies - including $2K just this week for Black History month's assembly
  • $4K HSA management - tax returns, quickbooks, webmaster, insurance
  • $2.5K teacher appreciation - breakfasts, breakroom microwave, HSA kick in to holiday thank you's to all the staff
  • $2K assignment books
  • $2K Beaumont garden expansion
  • $1.6K Indoor & Outdoor beautification - plants, planters, bulletin boards
  • $1K Composting pilot (75% funded by a grant from Chester County)
Upcoming expenses the HSA is prepping for:
  • More assemblies and an author visit
  • 4th grade promotion celebration
  • Grade level activities (I.e. 1st grade books & 4th grade piñatas)
  • Non primary teacher requests - i.e. nurse, special ed, music, field day, reading support, etc. etc. etc.
  • More teacher appreciation & end of year thank you's
We have a big ask ($10K+) from the Beaumont office for a 2nd copier to reduce lines for printing basic classroom papers and believe we'll be able to make this gift by the end of the year!
We do hope that all of the HSA sponsored events offer families fun and community connection, but also want you to be aware of the impact to our school, teachers and students through funds raised at these events.
